2007 2.2L Turbo'd?
Hi, I haven't been around for a while. I was wondering if it is now possible for F/I on a 2.2L 2007?
Auto trans
2.2L 2007 model sedan
I see that there is a new tuning program, does that work for my computer?
Basically, I'm a newbie to f/i and I would preferably want a kit that would go on and could be tuned fairly easily by a mechanic. Anything in development that might require a specialist or weeks in the shop is out of the question. Remember it's an auto tranny.
I have the option of either selling mine for a used SS/SC and getting eaten up by insurance costs, or doing the sc/tc application and keeping my current car.
Suggestions?

as of right now the only thing available as a complete kit is the Garrett/hahn alpha kit but thats for manual tranny's, there's a company that can tune on the 07 ecm's, probably pcm's for auto tranny's too. so a few hours in the shop tunning or wait for a kit . search for the e37 tunes, but remember its DIY tuning.

There are turbo kits that will work.
There is tuning for the engine.
There is currently no tuning for the trans yet. You could use the B&M Shiftplus to firm up the shifts until someone comes out with tuning for the trans.
I would say that if you are going to go turbo, you will want to get tuned by a specialist in order to get the most out of your power combo AND keep it from melting down or blowing up.

here is the link for your tuning https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ighlight=tunes
the company is called LS2 edit. so you can buy the garrett kit and have someone tune it if you buy the LS2 edit tunning software

Any tuners in Texas you guys can vouch for?
With all that power, won't I need stronger axles and forged rods/pistons? Or can I use stock internals? I'm not planning on pushing it much further than the 205 hp the turbo should provide. Just something to pep it up.

the tuning overrides the ecm factory settings for the new settings you want to change, as long as you dont mess with the speedo/tach calibrations it wont change, if you want force induction you will need to change your fuel trim. every thing on your instrument cluster pannel will still work
