2008 2.4L intake mani
I've searched and never got a clear answer.
Will a 2.4L intake mani from a 2008, fit my 2008 LS.
What do I need?
All I got from searching is that the 2008 is different than previous years and something about not needing some adapter.
Clarification = brownie points!

Yup. I did it. I think I have an 07 2.4L manifold though. All you need is the manfold, about 3 feet of 1/2" brake booster hose, some hose clamps, and the gaskets if you want to replace them (I replaced all my gaskets). The 08 TB bolts right on to the 2.4L manifold since its got an extra bolt hole.

yes the 2.4 mani will fit the 2008 cobalt and i think the gains are pretty well IMO. definetly get the kit that comes with all of the gaskets just in case you take a old one out and it rips. as for the injen cai, i have one of those as well and its a beauty i love it! get the SP version or the newest one for the cobalts it may be the only one actually.
P.S. word of advice by the way... definetly get a hydroshield for your filter trust me its a good investment!

The CED kit fits the 08, you just don't use the TB adapter that comes with the kit. But it's WAY cheaper if you just buy everything from gmpartsdirect. I think I spent $125 for the manifold and $15 for gaskets. Plus maybe $5 for the hose and clamps from NAPA.

Someone on the j-body.org found aftermarket 2.4 Cobalt manifolds for $30 a piece, yes... $30 a piece. I am skeptical but the guy says they are legit as he bought one and has one in his possession. Don't ask me how they can afford this.
People are popping them on their Sunfires and Cavies.

Ya, if it rains real bad mine will get water on the filter because of the retarted fitting of the front end of these cars, aka, between my headlight and the bumper.
Back on topic, I don't need a 2008 2.4 manifold right?.. And it will bolt right up? Bolt for bolt?

You can get a 2007 2.4L Manifold. It will bolt right up.......bolt for bolt. You will need to drill out the MAP sensor hole a little bit to get the MAP sensor to fit. I forget exactly how much. It's on here somewhere......MAVEN did a how-to on installing the 2.4L Manifold on a 2.2L.

its much cheaper to buy it separate.. mine was an 07 2.4 mani and it fit into my 08 2.2.. i reused my gaskets and all i needed was a foot and a half of 3/4 brake booster hose, and the transfer vent seal which was 12 bucks, plus u gotta to a little manual labor to widen out the MAF sensore hole.. i used a dremel for that
