2008 Cobalt Parts

I just got a 2008 LS Cobalt a week ago and I'm new to the Cobalt scene. When I look at the majority of aftermarket performance parts they only go to 07. This may be because they havn't updated their sites yet, but I don't know. So will performance parts for an 07 also fit my 08?

what kind of performance parts are you talking about?

i think as far as catback exhaust and downpipe goes, those would fit no problem. if you want intake and header those would require SAI deletion (see 2.2 forum sticky)

I guess I'm not really sure what I want to put exactly on yet. I just wanted to know in general I guess if the cars match up pretty close that way I know what to be looking for when I look at aftermarket parts. But yea I think I would like to start with exhaust and go from there to other add ons. Not really quite sure right now. Anybody have any suggestions?

yea i think exhaust and dp would be great for 2.2, a short shift kit or a B&M Shiftplus if you have the auto

since i dont think there's tuning for it yet so theres not much performance mod other than bolt ons

If you have a 5sp you can use a short throw shifter for a 00-05 Cavalier(about $40-$50 on ebay).
This is a good intake for the $$$ http://www.advancedjdmparts.com/prod...roductid=19767
Do you have SAI https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l-l61-performance-tech-45/secondary-air-injection-late-production-2006-l61s-38488/ If so you will need a breather filter for the SAI tube to use most intakes. K&N is the only intake that has a place to hook up SAI.
