2009 Cobalt LS Header Suggestions

Does anyone know if the 2.2 engine runs strong with a factory Extrude-Honed Exhaust Manifold?????
What other headers are out there???
I could not find a number for Racing-Solutions, are they still in buisness??
I will be putting on a cold air intake and cat-back exhaust.

use the search function, or better yet: look at the sticky posted in this section, it tells u every header from every manf

Headers
In late production 2006, secondary air injection was added to the design of the car. This is an emission control system that routes fresh air into the exhaust manifold via a mounting provision on the manifold itself. Aftermarket manifolds for this car DO NOT have this mounting provision. 2005 model cars should have no problems.**only on some cobalts**
1. GMPP
2. Vibrant performance(combo'd with #6dp)
3. ZZP
4. Pacesetter
5. GM LSJ
6. Hahn Race Craft
7. Cobalt Addiction v1, and v2
8. Clear Image
9. Intense
10.Shiney-Hiney
11.OBX 4-1 header, and shorty header(combo's with #7dp)
12. there another one forgot the name, but it resembles the CAv2 header


Downpipes
1. XTC by Cobalt Addiction
2. Hahn Racecraft
3. Intense
4. ZZP
5. Clear Image
6. Vibrant performance
7. OBX dp
8. exhaust depot (made for obx 4-1 or pacesetter)
9. GM LSJ

I just installed my old gmpp ported header onto my buddies LS and it made a huge difference

GMPP header is by far the most expensive POS header available for the cobalt btw

So, basically, all the existing headers (for the L61) fit the new LAP engine?

check this place out if you are interested in the possibility of a header that works with sai. They are ppe engineering and they designed this header downpipe combo. It works with auto and manual transmissions. They aren't actually producing them but are supposed to begin in January. Here is the link to their product, and I believe they have a dyno for the combo also.

holy **** that is a freaking breakthrough!

you better go find the SAI thread with the sticky and add that to it!

i've never heard of an SAI compatible header before now!

i have a quick question...if im putting the factory LSJ header on my L61 and need a new gasket, should i get the one for the L61, or the LSJ?

i know this is going to be a newbie moved because i am new to this forum... but i went to my boys shop and told him that I had and 09 Cobolt LT and he couldnt find me a header for it. He was able to get me the magnaflow exhaust system though.

Any suggestions and links to sights would be greatly appreciated, Everything that I am seeing is like 500 dollars. Worse case scenerio I might go to the junk yard grab a set of headers and try and port them out the best i can because i know the stockers from the cavy to the Bolt are so restricted.

Cobalt-Addiction now makes a header for cobalts with SAI i plan on getting one myself heres the link.

no they're not, zzp carries their own, and TTR has a selection

now the SAI are a pain to fine, since they only are on like 5% of cobalts (if that)
