37.9 MPG achieved on a full tank of gas
My 2.2l got 37.9 miles per gallon with a good mix of city and highway. I was seeing a constant 33.5, but my car has 2000 miles now and i think it is just about broken in and the gas mileage just keeps rising. I filled up the tank and took an 80 mile round trip all highway and when i was done it red 42.9. I cant believe this but when i filled up the tank the mileage reader was off by about 3 tenths, averaging about 37.6. I shift at 2,000 rpms everytime and coast to stop signs. I could not be happier with the mileage im getting. Can anyone else report similar results with a mix and highway and city driving? My window sticker said only 25mpg in the city.

well since i drive my car (3,500k shifts city, 5000k getting on highway), sometimes higher if im feelin frisky, and use the power it is graced with...not just pokin and coastin. No i get more like 28.5mpg which still isn't to shabby. But congrats on the fuel economy, i hope its worth it...

The most that I've gotten from a driving on a 60 mile trip was about 36mpg. Not bad at all. Here in the city i'm getting 29.6mpg even from driving really spirited.

I get 33-36 mpg. And i drive city and highway and i shift around 3,000 RPMs and i love to get into the gas. O yea and my car just turned 3,000 miles. I dont think i could stand shifting at 2,000 RPMS... i think i would go nuts...way too slow for me...

Where are all these city MPG's of high 20's - low 30's coming from? I have never gotten better than 26.3 MPG, it varies from 24.9-26.3, shifting at 3k everytime, and some highway. Havent been on a road trip though, but I will be taking a 500 mile trip next weekend...

i never get that high
the mpg isnt completely accurate, you can manipulate it depending on when you reset it
only way to figure out ur mpg, is to fill it alllll the way up, drive to half a tank, see how many gallons you actually put in, and calculate it based on the amount of miles you drove
