When I am embarrassing Lancers, Civics, and Sunfires. I get a good 28mpg.
Other than that I stay between 33-35mpg. I've even hit 40mpg doing 65mph on the interstate. But I hate being passed so I went back to 80.

I checked this morning when I got out of the car at work, 9.2L/ 100km. I usually keep the shifts under 2500 and coast to stops. Pretty much all city most days, but my trip to Truro a few weeks back (roughly 95 km) i was getting 6.3L/ 100km.

I average about 33.5 the way i drive but i have gotten it up to 40+mpg's... I use the shifting a low rpm's like some of the other members but for the most part i do A LOT of coasting when im doing city driving and even on the highway to save there. Im hoping to see some improvements on my mpg's for regular driving once i do my intake and exhaust.

I work 4 hours from home. It's about 235 miles one way. I have 3000 miles on my car. Now the gas mileage keeps going up. I hit 30.8 mpg today driving strictly highway at 75. I still have over half a tank.

Mine doesn't get higher than 27 ever. I average around 25... except in the winter... this winter i averaged about 20.5... gotta love the autostart and having a nice warm car to get into.

I have like 528 miles on the car, have gassed up twice since i first got it with 35 miles on it and both times the computer said 29. something and both times i got 28.5X (was checked by filling it up and useing a calculator). I have an 07 ls 5 speed, no mods. I must say...i am impressed with its power. It would beat the hell out of the car i used to drive and i haven't even had it over 5,000rpm yet.

My best was 41.6mpg on a "highway" trip. Wasn't really a "highway" but wasn't stop and go and wasn't high speeds either (highest speed limit on the road = 55mph). Did a trip to North Carolina and back and saw an average of 38mpg which included a lot of on-and-off VERY spirited driving on the Dragon.
Normally I drive mostly city with occasional highway (probably 75% city/25% highway) and see 28-30mpg. This summer is going to be an exception though........construction season has started and the 3 lane highway by me is down to 1 lane with a flagger completely stopping traffic from time to time. Backups of 5-7 miles of STOPPED traffic are common. good gas mileage....

Damn man, reading this thread really makes me question my driving habits. Maybe I need to lay off the gas and high-rev shifts. My car's reading about 22.5 right now.

I did the recall changed back to the steelies since I don't have any tires left on the rims. I get anywhere from 29mpg to 38mpg depending on driving habit. WOT for 30 miles I'll get 22 or aka late for work.
FTR- Recall gave me only maybe a 5% increase in MPG. Throughout the whole year of driving the Cobalt(38090 miles of it) I've averaged around 27mpg due to almost a yr of heavy foot. But with gas prices now and me driving at least 70 miles a day I keep it easy and may get a tank to last 3-4 days.

I was really easy on it a few tanks of gas ago, after 300 miles I filled up. the MPG gage said 37.5, but then I did the math on a calculator and it said 38.1. Drove it this past week, filled up, the MPG gage read 35.1, in reality it was 34.2 or so per the calculator. But i'm not complaining!

Totaly believable my old 2.2 eco Cavi got a best of almost 45 mpg on the highway just cruising at 65. True it had ALOT of work done to it but she also ran the 1/4 in 14.7!
