AEM CAI Install leads to SAI Find...
Well I bought a AEM CAI with the Dry filter and i went through and removed all the stock intake pieces, mounted up the AEM CAI and realized I had an extra tube with noplace to attach it to. So I jumped on here, did some searching and realized I am one of the lucky cobalt owners with the SAI(Secondary Air Injection).https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l-l61-performance-tech-45/secondary-air-injection-late-production-2006-l61s-38488/

So Im gona do what Halfcent said and get a small filter to stick on the end of the tube, and see how that works. I really dont feel like going through the trouble of reinstalling the stock intake system... it was a real PITA to get out. I will update later....
later
Well I drove over to my local NAPA, about 5 min away and the throttle response was soo much smoother. Anyways I was telling them about the CAI and the SAI and I told them what I needed and I think I gave them too much info and confused them. So I went out and showed them and they are like oh we dont have anything that size. So now Im off to Autozone and Advanced AutoParts to see what I can find...wish me luck.

i am one of those "unlucky cobalt owners" who can now never have a header :-) which blows.. i just took that thing and shoved it under my intake near my headlight.. car runs fine, i just got sick of seeing the god damn thing with a breather filter on it.. looked like **** i really dont thing unfiltered air will matter, considering that is the hose going on, and the hose going out leades right to the top of the exaust manifold..

LoL, u must of missed the sarcasim... lol..
I love my new AEM CAI, throttle response is soo much better, the power and then the sound that hits right around 3,000 RPM's is nuts.. sounds sick with the magnaflow exhaust.... I wish I did this sooner. I picked up a small air breather from Autozone, I will try and get it to fit tomorrow, too cold right now. Doesnt really make sence to me why they had filtered air going to the exhaust but who knows, Im gona stick that breather on there and maybe it will look better then a hose sitting there... lol.

P.S..... zero codes... knock on wood....X2

Got my new Chrome filter to stick on the end of the tube and made a holder for it so it doesnt move around.
Also I need some help removing the extension piece that the oil cap screws into. I read that it just twists off but I couldnt get it to move and I didnt want any plastic falling into the engine. I assume turning it to the left would remove it, but It just clicks and only moves a 1/4 of an inch.
