no wonder, I have no books so I learn from trial and error

yes there is a field for clamping MAF voltage, I know that 100% but I don't remember anything in there in regards to frequencies.

I don't know if Cobalts are the same but the Ion ECU seems to throw a CEL with larger diameter piping. So all the ones available are narrowed down around the MAF.

Whats a workaround for that?

The reason is because more airflow is going by at a lower frequency. You tune the fuel trim down to 0 after increasing pipe diameter. It gives a check engine light becuase the trims exceed a certain value which is fixed with the FIC.

no I haven't bought anything yet...the FIC if I decide on that piggyback, will probably be the last thing I buy. I'm still undecided on a piggyback so far...

I still need a set of cams and a wideband and then if its necessary I'll go with a piggyback to fine tune everything.

i'm a little disappointed though because I want the FT40 from perfect power but it seems like it doesn't have the ability to do anything other than adjust fuel trims. I really want that rev limit extender though...

I do want the stage 2 comp cams but no sense in getting them if I'm only taking the motor to 6500. might as well get some cams that improve on the low end if I'm gonna be limited to that...

yeah I wont be touching the bottom end on this car at all, I'm not going that extreme. I just want something capable of a 13 sec. pass (or atleast a 13sec. trap )

if i do tear a motor apart its gonna be on a project car where i can afford the downtime...but yes you are right, my plan with this car is n/a + nitrous

yeah the plan so far is...

comp stage 1 cams
AEM wideband
Dynotune Nitrous Gauge
2 Pod Gauge pillar
AEM FIC (or other piggyback)
coilovers

thats really all I have left on the parts list for this car...after that I'll probably start another project. I'm really interested in boosting a 92-93 Integra LS as those motors have been known to take 300whp on a stock bottom end (with good tuning of course). plus, if it breaks it doesn't really matter because I will still have the Ion to drive everyday.
