Question APC universal air intake kit?

I am a broke a$$ kid but i want to put intake on my car and i cant afford $300 bucks for it so i found an APC universal kit for like $50 bucks. What do you guys think? It would be a non-perm mod untill i could afford to get a real one.

Do the mod! Throw an Air Filter on that bi*ch and call it a day. Don't know if you guys have an airbox on the 2.2s / 2.4s, but if you do, I would dremel that thing off too. Especially if you plan on throwing and intake on their in the future.

Here is a cheap eBay intake for the 2.2L Cavalier/Sunfire. Just remove the stock airbox, use an adapter and cone filter. They do not offer anything for the Cobalt, but you get the idea.

I highly recommend against this.

Almost everybody that tried to make their own intake ended up throwing a CEL due to the very picky MAF that we have. Don't spend the $50. Save it and get the nice custom made for the car stuff.

I got a CEL from my CDM Intake but it has not come on in 5 days or so. So I am hoping the problem had fixed itself... Other than that the intake that I made is great and looks good

universal = the devil

$50 intake = the devil

air box mod = good, cheap!

K&N drop in + air box mod = same effect as intake, 39 dollars
