Here's the perfect plan that'll cure your topspeed problem.
Find the longest, straightest, empty stretch of road with a big hunk of concrete at the end of it.
Make sure you've got the car up to all it's got to give and your foot is on the floor like you're trying to push the pedal through the floorboard.
When you get to the end of the road, aim for that concrete.
