Bigger alternator
Has anyone had problems with the 07 tune yet.
My powersteering keeps dinging some times.
here is what is going on.
It comes on more when the AC is at full blast. i am an auto 2.2 so everything is taking electric.
my theory is that the tune is putting alot of power to the engine for better performance and torque so its taking power from other sorces. full blast AC is really taking alot and it doesnt feel like cold air is coming out. then again to that, it is usually 95 down here so the heat over takes the AC for a lil.
Is there a bigger alternator that i can install or have a someone install that would put out more power so everything can run according to what its suppose too.
thanks

The A/C compressor does not run off electricity, its belt driven from the crankshaft. Only the cabin fan runs off of the electric system (and the A/C clutch, and the little lights in the cabin, if you care).
The only electric power that goes directly to the engine is for the spark. The amount of electricity is governed by the ignition coil. I don't believe that a tune would have any effect with the amount of spark to the engine.
Maybe one of the cells in your battery has failed. Eventhough batterys are rated in CCA (cold cranking amps), the most damaging temperature for a battery is high heat.
Or, maybe there is something wrong with your power steering, since thats what the car is telling you...

i doubt this has to do with anything but how about the BM shift plus? i took it off my car but instead of unwrapping where i twisted it onto to, i just cut the wires and put electrical tape on it. but thats going to the tranny only i think.
any other possibilites for it?
i looked under the hood and found water dripping from the fire wall. it might be the AC out system or w/e but its like water that drips onto either the axle or another kind of bar. its close to the downpipe.
