Boost -vs 2.2 eco!!! What will or won't it take?
Just put a T50 on an 05' automatic 2.2. Using the stock exhaust manifold I fabricated a cross-over, deleted the air box & replaced it with a turbo! It's pretty sweet & ECOnomical. We will be on the Dyno @ ZZ on Saterday! I'm just wondering ahead of time if anyone can tell me what kinda boost stock injectors will support? If any?

this post is kind of confusing. Are you saying you turbocharged a 2.2 cobalt automatic? And you want to know what injectors will do with it. I would say dont go over 5 psi with stock injectors. Is it intercooled?

Um, Well, first, welcome to the site I guess.
Second, you are in for some bad times dude.
If you had read anything on this site before you started, you would have learned that there is no currently no ability to tune the ECM in the 2005 L61 Cobalts. So it doesn't matter which injectors you stick in there, you won't be able to modify their operation at all.
I guess I'll point you to some articles. First, read this:
http://www.year2032.com/ecotec.htm
Then, read this:

There is a new piggyback tuning product from AEM that should work with this car. It is your best bet. However, it has no ability to tune the transmission. You will still get a working a product, but the trans shifting will be harsh.

SMT6 or 7 piggybacks can't modify the trans either? I'm only about 500 bucks away from a turbo and was planning on havin a smt7 piggyback I also have a 06 2.2 auto.

Piggybacks have no way of changing internal programming, meaning why you can't change anything for the TCM.

I would NOT use a 50 trim turbo with stock injectors... at any psi.
You mean you haven't done ANYTHING but slap a 50 trim on and call it a day? gl with that

LOL that comment is actually ironic....
As for the mods, they were Magnaflow exhaust, Injen CAI, Zex 75shot. That's pretty much it for performance wise.
Yellow, when are you going to get out to the track?

the motor is not blown or hurt in any way. i did not kill the engine. the cat stoped up and made the car knock and ping due that the engine could get air in and no exhaust out causing a air lock on the engine i still drive it every day 40 mile to and from work and i beat on it too. the car is strong.
