brake drums

How do you remove them? Just got done painting my calipers now i want to paint my drums.

release the hand brake and pull off

Park the car in Reverse (If you have a stick) or in Park (Auto), jack up the rear. Ebrake must be off.

Grab the biggest ******* hammer you can find and beat it like it just raped your mother. You should be able to then pry it off once you break all the rust loose. If not, beat it some more.

id tell you to adjust the brakes down to slide them off too, but it seems like that may be a bit to in depth for you. ( no offense )

then why would you even post jackass. and for your information yes i do know how to adjust the brakes down, there is a specific tool that makes it easier which i will try tom. i just wanted to know if there was anything special about the cobalt as far as brake drums are concerned.

Just paint them while they are on the car. Thats what I did and turned out perfect.

Im pretty sure there are some assembley retainers on the studs for the drum. and i wouldn't paint them. tends to build up heat when you paint the drums

Sorry bro, but I gotta agree with the majority. Dont go red on the drums.....
If thats what your heart is set on then by all means, but painting them red is like walking into a room and announcing that you have a small *****....

if you want. red would be fine. but just black would be fine for both the drum and caliper. i personally wouldnt draw attention to a stock brake system. but to each their own
