Brand new 2008 Cobalt 2.2 Warranty Question
Hey i bought a brand new cobalt revolution 5 speed, i want to know...what can i do to make this car faster WITHOUT voiding the factory warranty? The car has less than 1000 miles right now and i dont feel like voiding the warranty just yet...lol. Im new to the fourms by the way, my name is Eric and i hope to talk to all of you soon!
Thank you!

Welcome to the site, Eric!
Here is what you need to know when it comes to warranties: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/general-cobalt-68/your-rights-about-your-car-warranty-aftermarket-mods-7439/
Basically, if you have a problem, the dealer has to prove it was your aftermarket part that caused it in order to void the warranty. That means that bolt-on parts shouldn't have an effect on your warranty unless something goes seriously wrong with the install.

Revolution Edition package...you know, just something else to make it sound cool...lol
So in other words, modify away and the warranty is good as long as the modified part was not the cause for the problem...gotcha! So, where do i start. I already put a cold air on it (which when im getting on it sounds awesome)...what would be some inexpensive mods to get a little more out of it? Its a fun car and it looks good too. I just want it to keep up with my buddies svt focus....sad, but true.

unless you get a shitty dealership that viods your warranty when getting an oil change because they see an intake or exhaust. or sometimes theyll call abuse if they see a mod. so get to know your dealer before hand. as for not voiding your warranty there are gm parts (intake and exhaust) but theyre crazy expensive comapared to others. i dont think gm makes many other parts.
also check out www.crateenginedepot.com, theyll probably have more of what your looking for as they're a chevy dealership themselves

One more question, and the answer to this might now be good...even tho it has 1000 miles on it, when im just cruisin in 4th for example for a while at the same rpms it will all of sudden jerk a little....normal for these or do i already have an issue?
