" god i feel like im talking like a noob" is it possible that i have some sorta " factory freak.. lol" or do u think its driver mod.. because i beat them when i was bone stock.. ive also beat alot of cars i shouldnt have
you know...there is always a +/- degree in every engine specification....such as bore=86mm+/-.03

its possible that your 2.2 happens to be made very well with numbers that are almost exactly 86mm opposed to 86.03mm If enough of these allowances are made spot on, it will make for a noticeably more powerful engine....hence why people have their engines blueprinted

how the hell do they dyno at 140 and 2.4s dyno at 150?? if that...

2.2s are rated for 140 ... and i'm pretty sure they're not under rated

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/***************************/viewtopic.php?t=1304

i'm pretty sure they don't dyno at 140 stock considering with a full exhaust it dynoed at 135

show me a dyno that proves me and that dyno wrong please
i may be wrong (i also dont think 140 is correct, i would guess between 120-125), but i would say that the 2.4's are faster due to their VVT....a 2.2 has 155tq and a 2.4 has like 163tq. The extra .2L doesnt add a lot of power, however, the VVT could cause a much flatter torque rating on the cars...which is what makes them better. They dont have a much higher peak power, but they stay near peak power longer than a 2.2 does.

this could help explain why the 2.4 is so much faster than the 2.2 despite the little power gained
