cam debate
im beginning to wonder if the cams i bought are right for the job.
i bought a set of comp cams turbo grind cams and for the moment will run a gt35r turbo.
i know that they have a power range of 2200-7000rpm,but when i look at the stage 3 cams they are rated at 3500-8000rpm. would changing to the stage 3 cams be better or do the turbo grinds have the best ability for turbo? also what about the GMR cams, would they work in the 2.2? thanks

gt35r huh? thats a pretty big turbo ur fitting back there. in my opinion, the turbo grind cams will help spool faster. the stage 3 cams will have more top end power.

ya i know its a pretty good size turbo and im actually thinking about maybe uping that one and going to a gt40 but its probably just wishful thinking.
i will be getting the cam gears though, that i know for sure.
but being that they are both pretty good size turbos in general wouldnt they themselves take longer to spool even with the turbo grind cams then the stage3's?

well, while overlapping will give you more power, stick with the turbo grind cams because most of ur power will be from 4500-7000 anyhow, and just because that is the specified power band doesnt mean you can't shift past that range.
