Cams for 07+ L61

Has anyone install cams in a 07 plus L61? I know we have a cam sensor so the ring will need to be pressed on but has anyone done this? I want to go n/a...only thing I really have left is p&p the head and cams. I'm not raising compression anytime soon if at all. Any input?

my input is that just only one guy has tried it.

it was a fail due to a small offset.

2 options
it will be easier for you to find a 05-06 head and fit it on your block.

maybe you can cut intake cam and cancel this sensor cut with trifecta but vince was not sure about that one

or trade your 07 for a 06

both your options you gave are huge epic fail. 05-06 head will render the car inoperable the car will not run. again "cutting" this sensor off is rendering the car inoperable. the sensor is there for a reason people.

My idea is to have the cam cut down to the same size and have the gear pressed on...would that work? No way i'll trade my car in unless for a LNF or LSJ at which point i don't need cams. lol

they make cams specific for the 07 that just need the sensor pressed on. talk to turbo tech racing or ottp. but also look into valve springs and retainers if u go with new cams.

you can keep stock internals for sure.

this sensor has to be dead center. if it offset by a hair, you can get CEL.

just cut the sensor from the stock one..and have the machine shop cut the cam and then press on the sensor...
just get the sensor machined on...and this way you wont have any kind of problem with sensor correlation.
