Don't do 2.5" it is unneccessary for you!
Run 2.25" it is a better mix for you, unless you have descent mods! And unless you are going into the "FART" wars with local hondas do not go straight pipe keep the resonator, and muffler!

When I had my 05 LS, it was like 2" and dipped into like 1.75" over the rear axle or something to that effect. I put 2.25" on my 05 with an HKS (fart cannon style) and it had a noticable increase in performance!

i believe the stock piping is a 1 7/8" and yea, do a 2.25 and i would highly recomend against a straight exaust, i have a manifold back exaust, CA downpipe with cat, and a 2.25 inch DC sport exaust and my car is LOUD

THe catbacks for the 2.2 liter are usually 2.25"
Get the GMPP Catback it's 2.25" piping! Most of the 2.5" catbacks are actually for the 2.4 and SS/SC!
Seriously though, just do 2.25" it's plenty big unless you are planning on going with some bewst!

You'll just loose ALOT of lower end power! Running 2.25" will be a better balance of low end power and high end increases!
If you want to run 2.5" go ahead you seem to really want to (but there is no reason to!)... It's just overkill for a stock 2.2l!
if you check my mod list in my sig... and I'm ONLY running 2.5" piping! You don't need it!

well i got the new piping today and went with 2.25" and doesnt really sound much louder at idle but is definetly deeper and louder when u get on it and i tried a 0-60 on my dash hawk and now it was about .4-.5 seconds faster so definetly worth it

Good choice on keeping a muffler and smaller piping on an N/A 2.2. A low compression 4-cylinder such as the 2.2 needs that pressure and smaller diameter piping to keep the flow and velocity going well in the exhaust system. Big pipes and no mufflers on these Hondas you see driving around with just bolt-ons are actually hurting themselves with that modification.

well i already had the magnaflow muffler which only cost me $120 and for the tubing that only cost me $65 so i made out great as far as price compared to just buying one premade

did the shop doing your exhaust use a mandrel bender? Or does it look kinda kinked in at the bends.
