Assuming the muffler, etc. is the same (which I believe it is) I think the touring has a larger resonator to help muffle the sound a bit more than the performance. If I'm not mistaken the touring is rated at 85db and the performance at 90db other than that I can't imagine there'd be much of a diff. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong I didn't have time to look it up again.
