Catless 2.2

If your that interested then look through the mag articles.Like I said, I'm just telling you what I read in a well known published magazine. Why are you so offensive?Calm down.If you dont want to believe what I am saying then its easy enough to just quit reading then get all huffy puffy. It really doesn't matter what car it was,yes every engine is different but only in detail .All are internal combustion engines. And at "WOT" the exhaust gasses are still jumping around in there.Having a straight through exhaust helps with exhaust scavenging.Just my $.02.If you choose not to take advice and do research on it then that's your decision.I was gonna gut mine until i read the article so i decided to make my own catless downpipe instead.

Ok im going to put a end to our bickering. I spoke with a custom exhaust shop about this issue and they said... Aslong as you have a ecu tune it is benificial for performance. He also stated that if you don't have a tune done you will throw codes. But as for back pressure, if your running straight pipe from header back you will lose back pressure. This only benefits turbo cars. As for us non asperated cars, a gutted cat he said that it is a cheap way of getting 5 to 15 hp Aslong as you have a resonator some where in line. And a decent muffler. He also states that catylitic converters are garbage. I fully agree with him.

wait wait this is in your link.you say lower backpressure only benefits forced induction cars yet
Increased Horsepower
# Cars that have their catalytic converters removed experience an increase in engine horsepower. Catalytic converters create a significant source of engine back-pressure due to the constrictive effects they have on exiting engine exhaust gases. Removal of catalytic converters from cars allows exhaust gases to exit their engines much faster and at higher levels.
i already knew this thus why i have a test pipe.
