getting oil change but i still need to fix the cel. anyone have any ideas? Friend of mine said that i could have messed up the MAF sensor from the new intake pipes i put on, he said it could have sucked too much air and hurt the MAF sensor.

Too much air hurt the MAF? Do you have a tornado in your intake tube? But seriously, if you have an intake you could be getting a lean code; thats what I have right now with my AEM dryflow. If you have an oiled filter and over-oiled it, the oil can get sucked into the intake tubing and land on your MAF; that could damage it. But as far as too much air hurting the MAF, that can't be it.

goto autozone and they can scan it and tell you whet cel code its throwing. there's a list on here somewhere with all the cel codes, and if i remember right if you were throwing a lean code and resolve the problem after a certain number of complete engine cycles(engine starting cold and warming up to operating temp) the computer clears the code itself

try taking the pos battery terminal off for an hour then installing the intake some people have had success with this. it resets the computer and relearns the cars system with the intake in place. if the cel pops back up well then either live with it or return to stock.
