No, it won't work.
The 2007 L61 engine now uses a COP ignition with a 57X crank reluctor. The new computer won't work with the older engine. Nor will it be able to communicate properly with the rest of the car. Different protocalls.

Yeah, the new computers use a CAN (controller area network) bus to communicate with the different systems. And as was mentioned, the 07's use coil-on-plug ignition instead of compression-sense ignition.
And even if all that wasn't a problem, the ECU would refuse to start the engine if the VIN didn't match (an anti-theft thing).
