yes its loud, but i dont think you can justify calling it rice. it would be rice if it was stock piping with that or a fart cannon on the end. it is an actual proven performance muffler , with an actual full catback 2.25 exhaust system, not stock with fart cannon. if it was rice...then just about every 4 cylinder with a header is rice.

all that noise lol

that sounds like half of the honda hatches in this area

doesn't mean it sounds bad, but common

I'm not a fan of it personally

in the future, get some more time behind the wheel before videotaping you driving

it sounds different than what the camera makes it sounds like. i have a camera that will get better quality out of it, but if its too close to the sound it will distort it bad

yeah that happens especially when you have a system that puts out a very low tone. when I had taken movies for sound with my old digicam it would sound like ass no matter what setup I had, but now with my super cool miniDV it picks up all of it, so it literally causes a rumble in my living room when I play back our race footage to analyze it lol

I have that same muffler, and i love how it sounds, but I paid $43 shipped on eBay brand new. I love that backfiring sound, and the throateness. nice choice.

Just finished fabbing and installing my exhaust today. Soon as I get pictures ill post them. I did somethign very similar to NomoreAvril , I did a full custom cat back exhaust but I went up to 2 3/4 inch piping and instlalled a Magnaflow 16 inch GLasspack where the old stamped muffler used to be. I am getting absolutly tons of torque. LIke totally noticable even got a few 3rd gear scratches when I wasnt even meaning to today just driving around town. Oh I used the stock Cat and stock baffler and just changed in new piping from the manifold back and then the glasspack. apparantly after measuring it the stock LS exhaust piping is onle 1 3/4 inch... talk about restrictive.

I went up to 2.75 because the stock 1.75 is way to restrctive. The more flow you get through the car intake and exhaust the more torque you can produce. Our 2.2 Ecotec block is a torque monster right form teh start anyhow. Also the larger piping allows the car to have more of a growl sound then that raspy rice burner sound. My car right now sounds exactly the same as my buddys 500hp RX7. Alot of people were impressed with the sound tonight at the races. Nobody talked **** at all because it really does sound good. And I am reaching m top end governor alot faster now. Its like all the restriction I was getting in high 4th gear is gone and I zip right up to 120 in no time. I am gonna race a 2.4SS next week and I would put money down right now that I can beat it with just intake and exhaust on my car.

I won't lie...

That actually sounds really good. I haven't heard any exhaust on the 2.2's that sound like that. So do you have the stock resonator on?

my best run at the track was 10.67 still learning how to shift/launch

and no, its basically stock header-stockcat-stock downpipe-then 2.25 piping all the way over the axle, then to the magnaflow muffler, 2.5 pipe after that
