Cheap route or aftermarket?

alright so ive got a few mods on my car thus far. now ive been really wanting a new DP for my car but just not really had the urge to save up a few bucks to buy one. this leads me to the question. im thinking about the CA XTC 2.5 high flow dp, or just a stocker ss/sc DP. and just getting a hi flow cat welded in later. what is the size of the DP from the ss/sc and what do you guys think the good choice would be (performance in mind)?
