Check Engine light connection?
ok as i was coming home from work my check engine light came on, so i went to autozone to get a free diag. i told him 2006 and he grabbed the tester. it said "cable must be plugged in and ingnition must be at on position" and it was.
so he tried it on a employees car in the parking lot and it worked fine. so what could be the problem with my connector?
also i looked in my owners manual and it said if the light is steady(which it is) then it's a problem with the emission system. about.. a MONTH ago i put a SS mani on and about 2 days ago i got gas.
do you really think the light would come on after a month?

The fuse that the connector is hooked up to is the same fuse as the cigarette lighter. Chances are this fuse is blown. Look in the fuse box under the hood. it is the 3rd one from the bottom on the left. 15 amp.

car runs rich, gas mileage can get worse, and it'll take longer to warm up..
