yeah the sensor for the temp gauge is unplugged, i m working on moving it somewhere in the intake so that i can get it to read the intake temp instead , also the mileage did csrry over no problem, and i did nothin to correct anything, its simple plug and play, the cluster knows how fast im going, it checked it with the stock in 5th gear around 2k rpm im at 45mph, and when i switch the cluster, it was the same, 45mph in 5th at 2k rpm, no modding, no fabbin, no nothin, just plug and play, when ever the how to get approved u'll see how it was all done, nothin real hard about it, best 40 bucks i've ever spent, way cheaper and better than getting a overlay

The SMT-6 has a road speed governor setting, which you run your VSS wire through the Cam sensor 1 in/out on the SMT-6 and then you set the perameters in the Global Settings. Basically theres 2 slide bars. One is for when to activate, and the other i believe is what speed you want the SMT-6 to tell the computer your going. So for example. I'll set the first number to 104mph and the next for say 70mph. So when i hit 104 the car things im going 70 and will allow me to pull past 5k rpms in 4th and all the way in 5th. Now dont quote me on all this exactly. I've been slowly but surely getting my engine back in my car, so hopefully by next week ill be able to confirm all this.
You are correct. I need the 2nd one because im already using the smt-6 for timing. There is this auxilary thing you can attach to the smt-6 which i actually have. Right now its being used as a MAF clamp, but we believe we can use it as well for the road speed governor. If not ill just have to buy another SMT-6. Not very expensive and worth the money to crack the governor.

Will this work for me?
I have a 2006 LTZ, I have the upgraded tires and 120mph governor, but my speedo only goes up to 120. I guess they though the white speedo might not look good in my interior. However would be cluster be a direct swap for me?
See here Halfcent was unable to do a swap https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...t=cluster+swap

^^HIGHLY DOUBT IT. No dealer will set you car to go faster, if u died going 115mph then they could be liable because you car is only suposed to go 105.
Try it tho (inetrested).........
