Cobalt SS Injen Intake Problem

Hey Guys, I recently installed a Injen intake for my 2006 Cobalt SS. I had my friend install it, who works with cars daily. However, right when i started driving it, the engine light came on the the traction Control turned off. I called the dealership where i bought the car, and they said that the light will continue to stay on if i do not put the old intake back on. Is there anything i can do to keep the new Injen intake on that will make the engine light go off??? Will the short ram method work??? Please Respond!!!!!!
Thanks, Jordan

This is the car how i bought it a year ago

if everything is tight, delete the code and move on.

i mean get a scanner, and delete the code. tons of people get a cel from an intake. just because you have a cel doesn't mean it's a bad thing. as long as the car is running properly you're fine. make sure the maf is in tight, all the connections are tight, and that's it.

Did you disconnect the battery, and then let it warm up to operating temp? Is it leaking? Any noises? I put mine on, and a lot of people here have as well with no issues, look around.

no it's not. the one you got is fine. read my above post. if you're still freaked out about it i would leave your car stock and sell the intake. it's a very, very common thing. again, as long as it's installed correctly and the connections are tight there's nothing to worry about.

If nothing works, and apparently nothing has, put the stock back on, run the car for a bit, that should get rid of the code, and then re-try the install.

the intake is fine. the dealer won't tell you the code. take it to auto zone. but since you seem to be the kind of person that gets nervous when a cel comes on (no offence meant, many people get nervous about it) pick yourself up a code reader. you can get them for like 50 dollars, mine was about 100. it tells you what the code is, gives a disc that tells you what the code means, and you can delete them if you want. it's a good thing to have if you plan on doing anything to your car, or if you get nervouse easy.

the codes are listed on this site, use the search button it is your friend. here's a link to the code you are probly throwing https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12508 almost everyone who has put an intake on throws this code, it's not unusual.
