I think i may have just found part of my problem. The pressure line coming out of the fuel part had a crack in it and had a small leak. but the leak only shows then the car is on a small incline and running. So would this leak not allow the engine to put the correct fuel to compensate for the extra air it is now taking in?

so it sounds like you are describing a vacuum leak.
