Complete Exhaust Overhaul
This summer I am thinking of changing out everything from the manifold to the tip. Now I am not smart when it comes to engines so please correct me if any of this is wrong.
GMPP Extrude Honed Exhaust Manifold
Magnaflow High Flow Cat
GMPP Performance Cat Back
Pacesetter Double Coated Ceramic Header
And of course the exhaust tip( is this even necessary?)
So I was just wondering if I am missing any piece in the exhaust system? Are these parts gonna work well with each other as in fitment and performance? I know I always ask wierd or dumb questions but I am in the process of learning how to tune vehicles so bear with me for awhile. Also would doing this all at once without changing the intake hurt the engine? Thanks everyone for answering soooo many of my idiotic questions.

actually it would be Pacesetter header to high flow cat (with larger diameter piping welded in) to catback exhaust and tip
the Header goes in place of the exhaust manifold so you cannot have both

which high flow cat? road legal?
personally i would want a 4-2-1 header over a 4-1 pacesetter but i agree taht pacesetter is the best that is out there at the moment.

well first off you are gonna need to breathe better before you can exhale better so, get injen cai, then pacesetter header then 2.5 inch high flow cat(found on gravana) then corsa touring exhaust(2.5 inch) and then you will have a nice setup to make roughly 150whp

Go with this...
Magnaflow High Flow Cat
GMPP Performance Cat Back
Pacesetter Double Coated Ceramic Header
Because you have a 2.2 you only need 2 1/4" piping on the exhaust and that is what the GMPP Cat Back is. To compliment this setup like stated before would be a CAI.

First off thanks for the information, I always thought the GMPP exhaust manifold looked really similar to a header, hahahhaha. But for the intake I am thinking a custom build of the weapon r. Is it possible to bring it down like a CAI but not as far down as the other CAIs? As in just a short drop instead of what like a foot?

i think short ram benefits this car pretty well since ive noticed that my injen setup as a short ram after runnignt he car there is no heat by the filter and a shorter pipe gives better throttle response weapon r is good but the fitting of it isnt all that great as injen is

Magnaflow High Flow Cat
GMPP Performance Cat Back
Pacesetter Double Coated Ceramic Header
------Korax123
Is a resonator included in this or do I need to buy one? Is it necessary?

the gmpp catback comes with the resonator but the piping is stock. i would suggest getting the corsa system or a similar catback system with larger piping. that does however depend on whether or not you are intending on adding some form of f/i.

Okay so sometime hopefully before this summer I will be able to do all this at the same time. Do you think I can get about 30 whp from it?
-GMPP Exhaust Manifold
-Magnaflow High Flow Cat
-GMPP Performance Cat Back
-GMPP Performance Exhaust Tip
-Weapon R Intake
-Also will be getting some 15" rims at the same time(I know no power gains from rims)
Added up prices minus shipping and tax and labor and it comes out to a little more than 1600 dollars.

SCDyne Header, Injen Intake, Corsa Exhaust
The factory cat flows just fine, the SCDyne header is the best available (SCDyne.com), Corsa cat back yields the greatest power improvement, and I know for sure the Injen yields the most on a 2.2L at 4 more HP than an AEM.
