Confused

I an confused. I hear get a short ram intake and I hear get a cold air intake. Someone told me if I get the cold air I would have to remove that black casing that goes to the bottom of my engine and that I would need a bypass something so that no water will get in my engine and mess it up. is this tru?

The short ram will just sit on top of the black casing and continue to suck hot engine air which wont give me much gain.

What do you guys think about all this. Which way should I go?

Or you could buy the INJEN intake for the 2.2 and you can switch between the CAI and SRI!

Go cold air, just don't puddle hop. By the way, this is the bypass he was talking about:

in most cases like the ss/sc you'll only have a problem if you submerge the filter in water...
