Hahn doesn't have a turbo kit out for the 2.2L Cobalts. Once again, no tuning solution.

The s/c kit will fit but...deja vu....no tuning solution.

wait wait wait...so how do we tune our pcm?! [/sarcasm]

and Witt - what does quote mean about WSFrazier saying....

I can understand a company doing it just for classifying of what this kit has compared to this one kit (example: one kit having a smaller turbocharger compared to another kit) but when someone says "yeah, I'm gonna get like a stage 2 kit, stage 3 might be too much for me" just in general, yeah, they don't know what they're talking about.

Cause it's one of the first things when you type in a search engine

"Cobalt, Turbo Kit"

BAM!

Hey look! Maximum Boost!

I must admit, I want the SS interior (minus the seats that say SS) and then the body off the SS. I like the kit they have, but then i'd get people hating me because I have all that...

the computers are not the same from the cobalt to the cavalier. Thus you can't do what you said.

AND MAKE YOUR SIG SMALLER!!!!

No you can't, the dealer can't tune the Cobalt's 2.2!

It is!!! Halfcent made a thread about turbo kits. None are out BECAUSE there is no tuning. I hate people that are too lazy to search or too dumb to read and then post stuff as if they "know" something.

This is not directed at you rally.

True...but hp will only go up to about 170 hp. Don't want to sound mean, but comparing a LS coupe to SS/SC coupe is like comparing a Mustang V6 to a GT. Performance wise, they are two very different cars IMO........
dude the 2.0 is a de stroked 2.2 its the same motor and yeah i would not supercharge your 2.2 i would put pistons and rods in it and turbo...so you can kick all ss/sc asses because a supercharger is driven by the crank resulting in a loss of some power there as a turbo is basically free hp cause its powered by exhaust gasses....yall be the judge but that is the way im going just waiting for a tune

I would hate to burst your guys bubble but the last time I checked they couldnt do that due to the ecu....but if it works without being tuned, well then go for it. But for them to begin producing force induction without the ecu tune, it would seem a little strange. The turbo kit they have doesnt tamper with the air/fuel ratio's and It is directly linked to the oil pan. It wont let your cars oil pressure rise above its peak as to not through any codes.
