Coolant temp

What's the typical coolant temp these cars run around with?

All right.

I think I hit around 213 while cruising around Woodward waiting for some of my friends. About 85 and humid.

I was worried because I'm used to my Camaro which rarely hits 160.

search "coolant temp" in the advanced search, and search the titles only. you'll find a shitload of answers.

basically anything under 230 is considered normal

my 2.2 ran an average of about 10 degrees hotter than the 2.0 does.

ok then, 190 should be about right, which is what they're running.

Mine runs at 192-194(engine cover off) on the highway. In traffic it's gone as high as 210 and 204 when I took the engine cover off. I've seen it as low as 187.

mine will go up to almost 220 sitting in a drivethrough or heavy traffic. the cooling system in our car needs airflow. and you dn't get that sitting still. once you start moving it should go down.

the cooling fan in the 2.2 does not come on till exactly 215F. so its normal to be around that, i see high temps everyday in S.FL. a trick is to put ur AC on or get a fan switch
