corsa sport on 2.2
just wondering if any of my 2.2 brothern are running a corsa exhaust? i just ordered mine and i would like to get an idea of how well they increase performance and sound as well as install. i have never really worked on a car before but i am hoping being a bolt on system this should be enough to get me started on learning.

Sorry no help here, I just ordered the Pacesetter and its in the mail already thanks to TTR! You should probably expect to see anywhere from 5-9 hp increase I would think, that seems to be the common number amongst the aftermarket exhausts. Sorry I couldnt help more.

Are there any sound clips out there for the 2.2's on Corsa Touring/Sport systems? Originally, I've been thinking of going with Borla, but all that I've heard on this forum is 'Corsa is the best...' etc.
It seems from Gravana's website, that they boast about seeing 'up to 12hp' increase on Corsa, but I've never really gotten a straight answer about the gains from a Borla system.
Do you guys think it's worth it to go the extra 100$ and purchase Corsa over Borla? They both have the lifetime guarantee and such....

I've had both Borla and Corsa systems on my Corvette. I would take the Corsa any day of the week. Definitely worth the extra money for fit and quality and if I decide to change out the exhaust on my Cobalt, I'll get another Corsa system.

Damn you people! :-P Now I'm going to be saving that extra 100$ for the Touring system. Mainly cuz I've heard the Sport and it's a lil to raspy for me.
Sorry to jack the thread....

I'll try to find out
I have been in constant contact with Paul Santiago from Corsa and I intend to ask him just that very question. What kind of HP/TQ gains are acheived on the 2.2L Ecotec with a Corsa catback system. They provide an additional 12HP on the SS 2.0. I will post an answer as soon as I get one. I also would recomend a Injen CAI.

GM Extrude Honed Manifold or SCDYNE Header
Are you talking about the "GMPP Extrude Honed Manifold"?? I'd also recommend checking out the header at http://scdyne.com.
I have an Injen CAI, will be putting on a Corsa catback, SCDyne Header and also adding the 2.2L Coil on Plug Conversion Kit from Nology with Silverstone plugs. That's a good start for me. I'm gonna keep my car N/A. I like to build raw power not a fan of F/I or cheater spray.

Information From Corsa
Hello Scott,
I still have yet to hear from Marketing as to what the delay has been outside of formatting. We are working to release 19 new applications before Spring, and I suspect that is what is causing the postponement.
2.2L vehicles average an increase of 8-10 hp/ 7-9lbsft and 2.4L vehicles are seeing on average gain of 10-12hp/ 11-13lbsft over stock.
The 2.0L supercharged cars are 12-14hp/ 10-12lbsft.
Thank you.

OK, in the first part, he is talking about the release of the Corsa official sound clips that will be on the Corsa website. At least we have some official HP/TQ numbers for each engine application.
Hope this helps,
Scott
