Custom Exhaust Coming This Spring

so my aunts ex husband, i still call him my uncle does stainless steel staircases and ****

he has all the stuff to bend and weld all kinds of piping in his pole barn

so im going to order some 304 stainless steel piping and have a custom exhaust made

but i need some pointers:

how long of piping do u think i would need?

could i use the stock hanger bracket things to hang the exhaust, what about stock flange?

what diameter, i drive a 2.2 with a CAI? probably a 20% chance of me going turbo in the future =[ so im guessing 2.25 or 2.5

what muffler and resonator, im going with both....

go to a custom exhaust shop. otherwise, go with 2.25 inche pippes unless ur muffler inlet is bigger.

just yank your stock exhaust out to use as a "template" or model, you can use a cherry bomb glasspack as a resonator, they are cheap, and a generic or universal magnaflow muffler

check out www.performanceexhaustplus.com

Just get the GMPP exhaust unless you are going turbo.

id stick with 2.25.... i just traded my 2.5 for a 2.25 and felt a noticable amount of low end power back... if you go 2.5 it might be overkill idk what your plans for the car are

CONGRATULATIONS! You passed the chris88z24 constructive criticism test. Good job man, lol.

Go with 2.25 diameter piping, as for muffler it doesn't really matter, just remember straight through will be louder than a baffled one (obviously) so choose wisely there. What are your plans for header/DP?

lmao, idk yet about header/dp probably not for a while, i want it to be kinda loud with a nice growl to it, not like a ricer/fart cannon

so im leaning towards 2.25, a universal muffler from a local shop, and not sure about the resonator yet

**** i have a lot of research to do

Loud will get old bro... I had the megan on my car for a few months and got rid of it because it was sooo friggin loud and annoying. It didn't even sound good, not with the stock header and downpipe. I love my stock catback, lol.

they only come in 5 foot sections

so should i do a 5 foot section and a 3 foot section?

i would pick up some flanges and make it in 2 pieces so its easy to take off and put on

Me? I actually didn't use a resonator, I used two mufflers.I don't have a problem with it hitting anything.
