what he or we did was use the gm color matched paint that you can get from any gm dealership and possibly your local auto store, and just spray painted over the chrome. I figured that we should skip the primer because the chrome could give it more shine because it would show through. the key is to coat it light so you dont get runs. then make sure you use a decent amount of clear coat to protect that paint.

Well I wanted my Intake and Car the same color, and this is a good idea. This saves me alot of time Painting my car to match the intake! lol

IM GOING TO GET my valve cover powder coated this spring som... i found a guy who will do it for 200 dollars exact match.. paint.. but im thinking i want it in black
