Why, is it wet?

I think you meant Dampner, and I don't think it will fit the 2.2

the install of mine last night took maybe 15 minutes, that included install, running to the garage to grab the Right tools, then testing it, and adjusting it.

one side goes to motor mount and one side goes to the frame mpunt. no jacking up or supporting needed.

Just remove 2 outside motormount bolts - install bracket 1
remove frame mount bolts - install bracket 2

install dampner with oring on bracket side, and your done really. I had to adjust mine to about 11.5 from 14 when i got it i was gonna go all the way in to 1o but i get no wheel hop with 11.5

what pieces? it looks like that bracket installs on the motor mount and the dampner is then installed onto the bracket...not sure about the part of the dampner that goes down but the other part looks to fit.

if u will look at the mount on the engine side ::not where the bracket goes over the mount:: the 3 bolts are closer together on the 2.0 than on the 2.2 that is the only difference...so u might have to redrill the holes and thats it

Just as 05sedan said, the mount on the actual motor is different on the 2.0 from the 2.2

It will not fit

Ok guys...

looks like the motor mount measurments MIGHT be the same as the 2.0ss...BUT there is definately an issue with the damper clearing the factory air intake.SOO with that said it could fit but you are going to have clearance issues with the air intake assuming it is the same motor mount as the 2.0ss's...When I looked at an ls it looked like the motor mount was the same(i didn't measure it or try to install the bracket cause it was outside of work at a car meet at night)

So if you have an aftermarket air intake that clears the area of the of where the damper is you MIGHT be able to do it(or modify/cut the factory air intake). AGAIN though I did not measure it or try to install it in relation to the motor mount..I just "eyeballed" it and it looked the same.

If you want to rule out the motor mount fittment someone needs to find out the part number for the 2.0ss motor mount versus the 2.2 motor mount..Ingalls is getting an ls in here in the next couple weeks to actually confirm whether it fits or not. I would maybe recommend waiting until we are 100% on whether or not it fits as opposed to my "eyeballing" the mm at 11 at nite in the dark..

you could PROBABLY mod the bracket and slot it to make it fit but again the air intake clearance is the main concern. I will post up in here as soon as I find out info on it..sorry to add to more of the confusion..currently Ingalls is not listing it cause we are not 100% sure..so for now 2.0cobalt ss...

and again you are going to have an issue of it clearing the factory air intake.

The dampener WORKS on a 2.2L...but you MUST have an aftermarket intake. Here's a picture of an installed Ingalls Dampener on my 2.2L Cobalt.
