The install is easy as can be. You just need to velcro and stick it there is a plug in the back that connects to the diag. port. The 1/4 mile and such would be read by computer and the Dash Hawk so it should be very accurate.

no its not a tuner...it just allows you to view information. will be useful though when tuning becomes available because as I understand it, the thing can log data.
I just ordered mine Friday night...

This product is awesome too!! You will not be mad about this one. Also I need to figure out how to make a wide-band work anyone figured that out yet?
Also if you cant decide just think how nice it would be to have 20+ gauges all digital for under 300?

Well this may be part of you question/ answer..... Just found this by the way From MSDIGNITION.com in the dash hawk forum
Check the downloads area early next week (2/23/07) for new releases for both Gen I and Gen II to bring a lot of new features! These include:
1.GM/Ford/DCx specific PIDs are now marked with a "+" if they are not supported. This applies to PIDs that are rejected by the ECU.
2.Some additional startup diagnostics to refine vehicle ID detection logic (mainly for the manufacturer specific PIDs)
Added some stuff for Flex Fuel capable vehicles to show fuel type and alcohol % in the fuel (in vehicles that support reporting that data)
3.OEM (Factory) WideBand O2 Sensor readings for Voltage , Heater Current, and Equiv Ratio. Supports up to 8 OEM sensors.
4.High range Fuel Pressure readings (the direct injection gasoline systems operate in the realm that is usually only found in common rail diesel engines!).
5.Updated documentation to match the release that has been reformatted to make it easier to just print changed pages (and not have to reprint the entire thing).
6.Fix for MDS Status (Hemi Dodge) to be more accurate (previously "jittered" too fast to read)
7.Fix for Knock Sensor voltage on Dodges (more precision)
Targeting to have Transmission specific parameters for GM (temp, etc.), depending on testing, but it looks like it will be ready.
These will be posted as v1.1.4 (Gen I) and V2.0.3 (Gen II) on the downloads page as soon as testing finishes!

Now I understand that it is not compatable with the 2.0L LSJ, or is it?!
Oh that makes sense. The LSJ is CAN-di not CAN. Shitz! I like the dash hawks options way more than the Aeroforce!

shortyhend2004, I've seen your name on the Dashhawk forum, I believe. I've signed up but it won't let me post yet. I had a question for them:
1. Is there any plan to make the alerts user-programmable? Now there are set alerts that you can adjust the alert point, but I can't see that you can choose a function to alert. For us turbo kit people, an alert for MAP past a certain point (run-away boost) and one for knock sensor triggering (critical on turbo engines) would be ideal.
Your mounting pics inspired me to do the same thing. Did you use the crappy velcro they supplied? It didn't stick to my car, so I went to Radio Shack and got some REAL velcro. That sucker is stuck for life!

I used the supplied velcro been on since the day i bought it fine. They suck at allowing you to post send a PM to a head guy on there and they allow you then. I want to get them to do better param. on the Cobalts. What we have now is great dont get me wrong but that list has way too many + on it for me haha.
