Hmm..I dunno about it running worse without the MAF hooked up. I took my 2.2LS ATX to a street racing deal we had here on the cape and i beat out a 5spd vtec 99ish prelude, a souped up 240sx and the ONLY thing that beat me was a 96 nissan maxima, 5spd 3.0V6 , short shifter basic boltons, full exhaust and chip'd compter, he never missed a shift, damn good shifting, and he only beat me by less than 1/2 car length..my nose was at the front of his front door. I was running with the MAF off and a cone filter on, and no muffler. I am gonna try him again with the MAF hooked up and check out the results, but for daily driving the MAF makes it alot nicer haha. The trans just shifts REALLY hard and quick without it on...i'm sure it screws up your A/F ratio, but it seems to run so damn good without it hooked up, for racing at least. lol. But we'll find out if i don't get my nova hooked up with Nitrous this next week. I'll take the cobalt back and just run the guy for fun, see how it works w/ the plugged in.

We'll see I don't think i'll sell them. Their to easy to make and no one would want to wait. I have to many things going on right now. I had to pull the motor out of my race truck, I am building a 2.4 turbo balt, and helping my brother build his ls1 turbo car. So time is a little tight but will see

i put one of the power adder filters from autozone on my balt, it seems ok but i only cut the airbox lid, so prolly not much of a difference compared to making an entire intake

I got the little filter at autozone or advanced I cant rember. The good thing is no codes. That damn CEL code has only came on once after i got the car and it was when i put the 125 shot on it. I had the the stock air box on it then.

Untill there is a way for me to change the timing, it will never see the 125 again. Stock parts will be fine with a 125 shot just have to get the fuel right and the timing right. I will spray it again.

The CEL comes on when you use bigger piping than the 2.5" Our 2.2L's love the 2.5 pipe and anything bigger will throw a CEL. That is why autozone DIY piping is making the CEL on and car run like ish! The one on my HHR is 2.5 from TB to 8" past the maf, then up to 3" and into the Driver's fender. This creates a tiny velocity stack and has helped with midrange more than anything. Top end feels the same whether I use the CAI or move it up to a WAI.

no running without your maf is like dumping gas directly into your itake it is not able to calculate the air coming in so it is dumping the fuel in there pretty fast, might work for the supercharged version if you want alot of boost but dont hold me to that statement
