Did my emissions today?
I unpluged the battery before I went not knowing that the results would say not completed. He told me to come back in 100 miles. Anyways my question is. The emissions checked OBD Sec Air. I was told by trifecta that it can be tuned out which is true. I was also told I would pass emissions if it was tuned out. Now is my computer in my car telling emissions I have secondary air injection? Or is emissions telling me I have secondary air injection? I don't want to delete it and them find out it was removed. So basicaly my question is if it tuned out will emissions still know its suppose to have it?? Emissions in nevada when you go get the test it automatically sends the info to DMV.I dnt want to get popped for messing with emiision controls. Any info is appreciated thanks

Secondary air is a FEDERAL emissions device, if they scan your car and it comes up with faults for it that's gonna raise some eyebrows, then they are gonna look at the emissions label on the car and it says secondary air is installed, then you might get in trouble. If its tuned out, it's tuned out. As long as there is no light and no faults in the ECM for it you can sneak by. How ever, and I've said this before, change your emissions label on the car if you tune it out and take it off, if the inspector does his job right and checks the label it's gonna say its supposed to be there.

i dont know how that works, you should call a place that does it and ask them.. "if they have a system that says you're supposed to have a SAI, and you don't have one, what will be the outcome" etc..
Honestly, I think you should be good... I've seen some heavily modified cars still pass emissions, but i dunno how strict NV is about all that..

So if your that worried just put the pump and lines back on leave the fuse out and make sure the car is hot when you get inspected. It only runs when the car is cold.
07cobaltguy, somebody's not doing there job lol, lucky you.

we dont get inspections. we pull into the bay at the dmv test station, they plug into the car, you can pass with one readyness monitor not set. Bang your done.

I'm not changing vins I just need one for emissions sticker. Does not have vin on emissions label. Just need a label that doesn't say air injection on it. I got the idea from someone on here, thanks!

05-06.5 did not have sai. Mine is a 06 built in April so I was below the cutoff although it also depends where the car is from, My buddy Josh had a 07 with no sai.
