It will bolt up, did it late december. However, you will get a vibration sound while in reverse since the cat is much larger than our 2.2L two cat setup. I'm going to get a new high flow cat once I find a damn job...
I believe the vibe since the cat is touching the sway bar.

yea i have. they fit fine as long as there's no sai. when we did orngbalt's, he had the sai but had it flashed off and we just removed the whole system. only thing to look out for is some of the setups have 2 02 sensors on the downpipe, and some of them have 1 on the dp and one on the mani. so as long as they match up that way it's fine.
i've done the lsj, vibrant, zzp, and i think a cti on 2.2's, all with no problem.

Thanks dude, when I swapped my DP for the LSJ part there was only one o2 sensor on the DP so I should be good it matched up fine. About how long does the manifold install take? I just need to know how much time to put aside for it. I'll definetly have a hand or two helping.
best way to get it done quickly is to get one person under the car, and one person in the engine bay this way you can double team the bolts. cuts the install in half.
make sure you have a bit for the studs handy, they're a star bit, you'll need a female star bit for your ratchet. sometimes the bolts are on so hard that the studs come out with the nut still on it, and you'll need that star bit just in case. I forget what size they are. also don't overtighten the manifold - head nuts. just get them pretty snug.

The 2.2 manual equipped DP is 35.5" so the LSJ DP fits manual equipped cars pretty well. If your auto's DP is 37" long like the 2.4 auto DP then it isn't a simple bolt-in. You'll need to get it adjusted.
Try installing it and letting everyone know the results -- best way to keep us all from being "clueless".
And to the poster that says his cat is hitting the sway bar...that's not a bolt-in. Have you considered the effects of the 2 parts hitting?

well, considering you're talking about a 2.4, it doesn't apply to the 2.2, now does it? I had a lsj downpipe on my auto 2.2, then a cobalt addiction, then took them off and sold them cause it sounded like ass. I have also installed several others on auto cars with absolutely no problem with length, or overall fitment. So take that high and mighty crap somewhere else, i've worked on these cars enough to know what bolt-ons fit or don't fit.

Blanket statements about what bolts-in and what doesn't aren't helpful. I too have read of, and had a problem personally, with installing the LSJ DP in auto equipped 2.2s as well. There are many variables so it is best to inform about problems rather then to say "sure it will fit". The engine mounts are not the same between the auto equipped 2.2/2.4 and the manual equipped 2.2/2.4 -- why do you suppose that is?

07 Manual Equipped 2.2 non-SAI DP/Cat PN 15873731
07 Auto Equipped 2.2 non-SAI DP/Cat PN 115873732
07 Manual Equipped 2.2 w/SAI DP/Cat PN 15806265 or 25832162
07 Auto Equipped 2.2 w/SAI DP/Cat PN 15806266 or 25832163
...just like the 2.4 DPs:
07 LSJ PN 15873413
07 LE5 PN 22695582 (manual trans)
07 LE5 PN 22703215 (auto trans)
08 LE5 PN 15889903 (manual trans)
08 LE5 PN 15889904 (auto trans)
...in fact there's no other reason for there to be a different DP PN then to fit the application...

a different part # doesn't mean that it won't fit though. i've done probably close to 10 installs with no issues. only time i've ever run into problems is when someone has a.i.r. parts on a non a.i.r. car or the other way around.

Like I stated earlier, let the OP try the install and let everyone know the outcome.
Your statment didn't help the 2.2 owner's Cobalt I tried installing the LSJ DP on. Maybe up in Jersey the LSJ DPs just bolt in...

well, i wouldn't be surprised. i've seen so many different combos and weird things on different cobalts that nothing would shock me. without knowing the exact mearurements, you're right, i can't be sure. What I should have said is that in a bunch of installs i've never had a problem.
