okay i've done the searching and cant get exact answer, how the heck does that stock air silencer come out, the thing connected the stock intake. It looks like rubber plugs hold it in? how do i get those out!?

there is a star screw at the bottom front side of the air box. Don't worry about it. Just undo the back two nuts and pull the air box up. It will tear the rubber gromet off of the star screw and it shall come out of there.

one member said there was alignment issue with maf screws and intake so you might be fine with just one.

awesome, got it all installed today (pics to come), didnt have to take the wheel off or anything, the hardest part was getting the stock silencer off, what a pain! anyway, the only problem i have is with the MAF sensor.. do i need a star shaped bit in order to screw it down? i just have it sitting in there for now but not CEL or anything. other than that, very easy install.

i actually managed to get it working before i read your post, but thanks for the link anyway, im sure it will help someone who needs help and sees this thread
sound overall is about the same but you hear it roar at around 3-4k rpm, and you could feel the difference. even at lower RPMs though i can feel the difference (i'm constantly squealing my tires by accident) the only thing is, my gas milage is going down because i cant help but hit those high rpms

I just installed mine yesterday. Will post pics later. Here's a couple of things. Be sure to check the metal and rubber for loose material. I peeled a bunch of loose rubber off the couplings as well as a few metal spikes sticking out where the mount was soldiered on. I had to trim the small piece of hose as well. My question though is the MAF, does that have to go in a certain way? Or does it matter?

Reason I ask is that after driving around for a bit, I was waiting in line at the car wash, and the RPM dropped to about 700.... stayed there but would occasionally drop even lower. I had my music on and felt the car shudder and then watched the tach and noticed this, I though it was on the verge of stalling. Anyone else get this?
