Ecotech 2.2L plugs

Okay, so its time to change the plugs in the Cobalt. What do you guys suggest as far as brands to put in? I've always used Autolite in the past, but I am open to new ideas for better performance. Its a stock 2.2L.

may look into them. The 'Balt has 68000 miles and needs something to put some schwoop back on the pedal.

the best ones to use are the Bosch Platinum +4 or the new Iridium/Platinum +4 by bosch. They are better than others because they have 4 electrodes rather than just one.

Hold on now...why do people just call things pieces of ****.......

Here's how it works, if your an 05 or an 06 with a coil and distributor separate, then you run Delco's or NGKs or stuff like that and both of those are good brands I haven't heard a ton of complaints about either one of them.

Bosch +4's are good for the 07s with Coil On Plug setups....I have had the same set in my car and they haven't failed me yet (put them in at 5,000 and havent had a problem in the last 34,000) , however they seemed to have fried severla 05/06 coils when they're applied to those cars...so just be fair and this is an honest assessment based on all the threads that have come up in the last year or so....

Peace!

If you think bosch plugs are pieces of **** then, you must not know much about cars. Anyhow they gave the car a better throttle response.

I have had them in for almost 15000 miles and it runs perfect. I'm running 93 octane anyhow so it helps to ignite it better. Plus if i was getting misfires the CEL would be goin off constantly so.

Why are you running 93 octane on a stock compression, naturally aspirated car?

You do realize that it is HARDER for your engine to burn 93 octane as opposed to 87, correct?

This is good feedback. I have a 06 LT that runs 87 gas. I'll stay away from the Bosch then. can't find NGK anywhere locally...

That was all in your head. Any new plug will make the car feel better after you replace your old stock plugs.

Yes by having 4 electrodes it creates a larger spark, thus making better ignition. Do you understand now?

i believe he was refering to the fuel because 93 octane would actually take more to ignite. and just because it has 4 electrodes doesnt mean its going to ark to all 4.. not going to happen.
