Entire Exhaust Question
Ok Im thinking of doing an entire exhaust from header to tip,my question is if i get these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-07...Q5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PACES...Q5fAccessories Is that all I will need for the entire exhaust? The DP is included in the header package I believe.If that is all I need how much of a gain should I expect? One more question,will that setup throw a CEL on my 07 cobalt LS? If anyone has any better suggestions as far as full exhaust setup let me know,Im going to start doing small boltons this year and im trying to get the best gains without throwing a CEL if possible,alright thanks guys!

if im not mistaken the factory d/p has to be cut to make that header work cuz it dont come with a d/p, just an extension to be welded to the factory d/p. the cat back is good from what i've heard, sounds good and is stainless. my suggestion on the header and d/p is to get a zzp mid length combo. the zzp has a high flow cat so it will throw a cel but it wont hurt anythin.

Im not a big fan of the tsudo and pacesetter names. I personally dont like the fart can look of the tsudo. Also if you wanted a nice clean catback you can always go custom.

ok,so should i get the cat with it or will the tsudo catback still connect without a cat?also should i get the 02 bung and plug?

Option 1:Magnaflow cat
Option 2:Mild steel downpipe
Option 3:2.5 inch downpipe, bolt in
Option 4:None selected
Option 5:I'm keeping my stock downpipe
If i run without a cat,how do I program the PCM? or where can i get an 02 simulator?

i may be wrong but i think the op is tryin to get off as cheaply as possible on gettin the stuff so there is a problem with gettin the stainless stuff from zzp. but you're right stainless is the way to go if you can afford it.

Yeah I havent done anything to my car yet so i figured id start somewhere to make the car a little more enjoyable to drive daily.I might get the stainless though,im going to go catless and i read that the hptuners can delete the codes thrown from the cat and i know a guy with hptuners already so thats np.I was just going to do a 2.5 dp and exit for the 2.5 catback system.

hp tuners doesnt support the 2.2 of any year in the cobalt's that i know of. if you have a 07-08 then you can get ls2edit for it or go throu terifica and get a mail order tune. the mail order tune works for 05 up balts.

Do the 2.4 mani swap, with an ebay intake, and an lsj downpipe and catback if you are looking for a cheap route for some decent power gains. I ran that set up minus the ebay intake, i have aem, but its all the same crap. That alone put me at 15.5 vs stock which is 16.1-16.3 at chicago altitude levels

tsudo..good exhaust and sounds amazing
ebay intake..same as anything else. hah just not name brand
LSJ DP is probably the best route to..unless your getting a header too
i would avoid the LSJ cat back, because its still gonna be restrictive, just bigger. idk i'd go aftermarket

ok that looks good,is that gonna be better than buying a header for mine? will the DP/exhaust i was wanting to get work with this mani?

you will get a decent gain from the 2.4 mani but you'll get better results gettin a header and d/p and cat back to go with it. i dont mean you gotta do it all at one time, but doin them all yields a greater result in the end. and yes you can use the mani with the exhaust. once you get it all done then order tune to get a lil more out of it.
the extra o2 bung is for a wide band or egt gauge. if you have no plans on gettin either one then you wont need the extra o2 bung

Ok that sounds good.If I have to take it in to do warranty work will they know its a diff mani? and will they void my warranty? I might wait to do the actual mani till the warranty is gone.I could get everything but the mani and run with that for awhile and then buy the mani and bolt it right up right? one last ? will 2.5" header/dp and exhaust be fine?
