exhaust

is a cat back really any different than just putting a muffler on? Aren't stock pipes mandrel bent?

if you upgraded the size to 2.5" , but its not nessicary on most cars unless serious mods or F/I

the point of a catback is that its bigger/straighter piping = better air flow- so just slapping a can on will not do it for ya

no the LS stock exhaust piping is under 2'' in diameter (not sure the exact measurement). You should replace from the cat back with 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 piping no bigger, Mandrel bent of course dont want crush bent piping


*** and if you go FI especially turbo your going to want 3'' piping

not nessicarily, 2.5" even turbo is fine for sub 300 hp, which most 2.2 turbos are running
