exhaust in front of axle is low ss/sc on 2.2
sorry if this is a repost i couldnt find anything about it in the search.
i just had the ss/sc catback installed on my LT sounds great btw, but i noticed yesterday that the part where it was welded back together hangs down pretty far, where the stock part was tucked under the car completly. my question is how should i remedy this
option 1 is to use exhaust straps and sinch it up
option 2 is to cut that peice out and have a new tube bent and welded in replacing it altogether
option 3 of course is to buy an after market when i have the cash
problem is it looks bad hanging down that low also with sportlines installed on the car its really low and might scrape any advice or pics of how you may have fixed this problem would be great.

Kinda eliminates the whole reasoning for getting the cheaper SS exhaust instead of aftermarket......trying to save some money. Take it back to the shop that did it and tell them they welded it wrong.

Mine is the same way, thats just how the SS/SC pipe fits. When I looked at mine its close to the floor pan already, there is no room to move the pipe up. I'm figuring nobody with an SS/SC notices because they have the side skirts.

well when i got home last night i had a stroke of genius, so i took a floor jack put it under the low spot on the exhaust pipe and lifted up till the back wheel came off the ground, i did that on 2 different spots. when i let the jack down the last time there was about 3 inches of clearence between the jack and the pipe that wasnt there before, i also took the jack and raised up the muffler till the exhaust tip was in the right spot then strapped it up with exhaust straps. then took a test drive. it looks a lot better now i will take some pics later.
