Exhaust manifold transfer.
Do you think it would be worthwhile to put an exhaust manifold from a 2.0 SC to a 2.2 LS? If it would even fit would there be a performance gain w/ a pacesetter header and magnaflow catback exhaust?

the 2.0 exhaust manifold is slightly larger then the 2.2 for 05-06. you can get it for free why not swap, I got a lsj exhaust mani, Dp and im putting in a GMPP exhaust this weekend. all free parts. the hp gains might be minimal but the exhaust sound would definitely be better than stock.
exhaust manifold and header are the same thing and all 07+ LS/LT's already have the lsj exh mani, but not the DP

A change to the exhaust that allows it to flow freer is almost always advantagous. The 2006 2.2 exhaust manifold has a small "D" shaped outlet while the SS version (2.0 & 2.4 are exactly the same) has a larger "O" shaped outlet. The SS version is also straighter (fewer bend angles) then the 2.2's. If the 2.0 version flows enough to provide 205 ponies surely it can help your 2.2. If the change wasn't worth it do you think a 2.0 owner would put the 2.2 manifold on?

if you dont have 200-300 bucks for an aftermarket header, get one from a LSJ owner for 50 bucks or less

Get ready I'm looking them up in the GM database....AGAIN...
From the GM database:
12581284 2.0 (LSJ) 2006-2007 2.4 (LE5) 2006-2008
12606689 2.2 (L61) Federal Emissions 2007-2008
12606805 2.2 (L61) SAI, California Emissions 2007-2008
The 2.2 is a freer flowing exhaust manifold but it still is not as "straight" as the 2.0/2.4 exhaust manifold

The LSJ headers were put on 07+ models.
So if you have an 08, you have the LSJ header already.
I switched and installed the LSJ header. There is a difference. Not sure on the HP as doing a Dyno after that would be a waste of money in my opinion. I also switched to a LSJ DP too though.

not the same gains, but better sounding, cheaper, and little gain.
WHY does everybody think this? this is COMPLETELY FALSE. when i took my old 2.2 header out, it was discustingly crush bent and horribly welded... the lsj is way better
everything to go sc would be very expensive. cant just spend thousands and call it a day..

In case you don't see the link, I got mine for 25+25 shipping and it's semi-ported at the inlet and outlet.
50 isn't bad, but I'm not expecting a large gain. I still need the gaskets right?

only thing i see wrong here if you dont have the o2 sensor in the original head, the LSJ header comes with a bung in the header so you'll need to get a bung plug.
