Exhaust question for yall...
I was curious to anyone who has a custom or packaged catback exhaust on there car, if they noticed any ticking from the exhaust while idling or after its driven for a while then comes to a stop to idle or to park ?

many have this issue, it's normal. just the car cooling off and the tick is from the exhaust expanding and contracting.

Yep...just got my SS s/c Thursday, fully loaded. Great car...love it.
It started ticking after I filled up with super-unleaded. Dealership must have used regular unleaded in the first fill-up. Big difference in acceleration using super. Dealer pinching pennies.
But I read somewhere here on the forums that someone called GM for support about the ticking. They told him to use regular unleaded, and that would solve the problem. Um....that's just bs. These cars were meant to run on super unleaded. It runs smoother, and a very noticeable increase in power with my second tank of gas.
