actually the times are garbage but the traps are a good sign. I am hoping for 14.1-13.8 with better pedaling (my exhaust is way better since I went from stock manifold and downpipe to LSJ manifold and 2.5" catless downpipe with an electric bypass). if I could race myself a year ago I would kick my ass for sure, power is way more linear. hell milage went up a few mpg when I fixed all the things wrong with it lol. the fact that I had a bad head gasket and coolant in the chamber but still running the same times as earlier is a good sign. now that it's running "correctly" things should be a lot better. I've already taken out many cars in the mid 13's and are toe to toe with most that are low 13's, but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me without the time on a slip or lap times. it's just hard to get out there with all the other **** going on. I still have to get a burnout car built before nationals and get some events squared away.
I have a spare engine in my closet waiting for forged parts but I'm holding off for my new daily/project and house to close (thats another story all together). when the forged engine goes in, so does a cage and some other things.
Dan - almost forgot to answer you, my bad. I would stick to something between 9.5:1 and 9:1 for your cr. seeing as we're at 10:1 stock thats quite a bit of a drop there and won't be a total dog out of boost. I was looking at picking up some 8.5:1 pistons but only to make up for the milling I had done to the head I'm running at the moment.

^thanks for the help there. I see that Weisco has the 8.9:1 and 10.1:1 pistons, does this mean I'd have to do a custom order?
That would be Jason Whitfield with Whitfield Racing/Rage Performance...that's who I'll be going to for my electrical.

haha I met Jason last year at Nopi, that guy is great, I love talking to him
get the 8.9:1 Wiseco's and you'll be fine. if you're that concerned, get the head decked a little bit and you'll be right around 9:1. if you wanted like 9.3 or 9.5 yeah that would be special order, but honestly any time you order forged pistons they can make them to ANY spec you give them, so you would just want to do the math and see how many CC the dish has to be, and you're money.
