can't wait for the dyno i prob might go all motor with n20 for awile haha
raise rev limit to 7k
speed limiter GONE!
32 injectors
more aggressive cams
wonder higher comp pistons do any good???? or would going lower be better with n20...id like to be able to run a 100shot safely if possible

90% of you have no idea what this means lol, yes its tuning but 95% of the stuff you want "tuned" isnt needed and will prolly hurt your mileage/ performance. You DO NOT NEED BIGGER INJECTORS, unless you have boost. Without boost its nearly impossible to overrun them, you will be running rich and wasting gas getting bigger injectors. Also the raising the rev limiter wont do a whole lot til you find out where your power drops. If i remeber peak hp and tq. is at like 5500-6000. So running it to 7k is basically pointless

Stock valvetrain is good to 7500 but I wouldnt take it past 7 I would get a new one though since I would already be camming, surface the heads to raise the compression ratio, see about boring over and how big pistons i can fit confortably on 91 octane...

and ya doi built valvetrain +cams and ya its logical.
lol
truth
dont spam crap information. its very skeptical about where that is. wait for some dyno numbers in that range of rpm then we will talk

Looking towards the other end of this, I read that Vince is planning on building a program for the automatic TCM's, also... I'm running shiftplus right now, but tuning the tranny would give a way bigger benefit, right? Should I maybe look into a higher stall torque converter?
Oh yea....I was also wondering about that ridiculous form of "traction control" that the base-base models have; you know, how it cuts the throttle, forcing the driver to re-apply the gas.

GM always tunes on the rich side because they know people will not run 91 octane or higher so they run them rich...timing is pretty on spec i mean you can add 1-2 degrees and thats it but i have personally tuned GTO's and seen 30-40whp just by pulling fuel out and adding a little timing....
so on these cars i believe there is allot of untapped hp!
i personally have been doing tuning with the SMT6 on my ion and just by pulling fuel and adding a little timing the car woke the f up and she runs great and then ofcourse i had to slap on 5psi for fun and now i am adding fuel via 5th injector and timing from the smt6...
so i believe there is allot of untapped hp waiting and now that it seems there is tuning it should be fun!!!!
duane get your turbalt running and get it over to Denver so we can test his software on your car bro!

if we are talking about tuning on stock ecm with mods...you can expect 10-30whp!

Wow dont post unless you have facts i have seen a few eco- cavalier tuned dynos. 10hp is about all you will get with I/H/E. Thats getting lucky too. This isnt a tune to pick up tons of power. You will barely benfit from this unless you have more that I/H/E.

Well 99% of people want bigger injectors and power, both of those you wont need or get. Injectors should be the last thing you worry about and power wont be much.

60lb injectors are going to be a tad small for me, but ill try em first on some lower boost =P

Ok dude, your about half kevins age. you think you have more knowledge about cars then him? hes not saying its gonna open 20+whp, but with full bolt ons(2.4 Intake, Full header-back exhuast) you will see some nice gains, but thats most likely going to be average, not peak.

they support over 400 to the tire on the lsj. where do you come up with this logic?

I havent seen one LSJ go over 400whp on here except the mysterious Rebel turbo car. And from what i've seen on pauls, he was pushing the 60's close to the edge and he wasnt even scratching 400whp. I'd also like to not run over 80% IDC, and with that being said, you need roughly 70lb injectors to do that at 400whp. Im just tryin to be safe. And i've done my homework, many many times.

Im not saying I know more than him but I have seen the dyno sheets, with rk header, dp, catback, intake there will be no NICE GAINS. Kevin must be old too.
