Just a question, that AFR sheet, is that him running it light pedal through the rpm range or is it WOT? Because at 4k your over 13 afr.. if that's WOT you have a serious problem. Btw the bad idle is caused in Speed Density, because it isn't using a MAF sensor to measure air, so it's guessing how much air to add, but when the idle raises higher then normal, it cuts air. Basically it's the pcm not knowing how much air to put in at idle. On a tunable pcm a touch on the idle VE or MAF table (depending on running SD or not) will smooth that out, since it won't have to guess.
Congrats on it. Btw your Turbo doesn't eat Jess's, unless you want to test hers out

A quick recap: Got myself a new 07 LT coupe a month ago.... very happy with it so far. I've always been a fan of fast cars... old classics really, but since the gas $ explosion lately I have lost interest in spending the money and time to eventually get a large block muscle car down the road. After seeing how much power these stock 4 cyclinders are able to produce now... I figured .. why not make the best of what I can afford while enjoying a more economic engine.
Just a few questions for you experienced mechanics: Down the road (few years or so), I would like to upgrade the 2.2 with either a turbo or supercharger. The things I don't know about is what preparations for the engine i'll need to do with either kit... also.. what is the smarter, more reliable option between supercharger and turbo kit? When I do this upgrade... I just want to do it right... I would think that the stock 2.2L with my LT is not really designed to handle such an upgrade at the moment? I downloaded the GM performance book and took a read... it mentioned that the parts that need replacing are rated for about 350hp... but from the reports of users with turbos and supercharger kits they don't exceed much more than 220hp (which is still great for such a light and small car imo). What it's boiling down to is... besides the expenses of either kit and the mechanic fees... does the engine really need to be preped much at all? Also... how does such an upgrade affect GM warranty?
Thanks in advance

It's related to the post by the OP... however, the pages that follow it seem to go off topic... kinda like your response. Thought I would not bother creating a new thread and just continue with a current one..... gg man.. thanks.

2. What is your goal? Do you plan on having a dyno queen or a dd?
3. You need to asses the goals you have for the car before worrying on how to obtain them. My goal is 230 but I am not going f/i I am gonna do it n/a. I first established it and now am going at it. I have researched and know what I need, only problem now is waiting for the warrenty to go and for the money. Meanwhile I am learning how to tune on hondas and am planning on using honda tech on my balt since I understand it and understand basics on how to apply it.

That's a cool setup!
So I see this thing says only 05-06. Why is it not for an 08? Is there a turbo setup that will work with an 08? And do they say manual only because there is no tuning for an auto? Will it work in conjunction with the B&M Shiftplus? I have questions and I want answers!
